I’m having a weird problem between Fontlab and the Mac OS. I was working in FL when it began to behave oddly. Black boxes appeared in dialogues and in the windows around areas of text entry. Then when I quit FL the same behavior was happening on the desktop and finder. Some Finder menus now have entries repeated twice: Empty Trash-Empty Trash. The black boxes now appear in all programs. FL has apparently corrupted something in the System.
I tried deleting various preference lists without success. Multiple restarts have no effect nor does reinstalling FL.
What’s going on and how do I fix it? I’m running Mac OS 10.5.8 and FL 5.0.4 Mac build 2741.

A pair of screenshots might help to understand the problem. You perhaps corrupted system fonts with the help of Fontlab Studio?

This looks like you accidentally hit the shortcut for Voiceover or some other Universal Access function. You can check this in System Preferences.

Replacing system fonts seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks.
