Fontlab Studio 5.0.4 keeps crashing when I generate a Macintosh TrueType Suitcase or when I use Test TrueType. I use the "merge fonts" command and select "replace" option. After which I execute "Test TrueType" or Generate Suitcase FontLab crashes with no crash message error dialog, nothing in the output panel.

The only bit of info is in the console:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FontLab Studio[669]: FontLab Studio(669) malloc: *** error for object 0xffffffff: Non-aligned pointer being freed\n*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
[0x0-0x48048].com.fontlab.fontlab5[669]: FontLab Studio(669) malloc: *** error for object 0xffffffff: Non-aligned pointer being freed
[0x0-0x48048].com.fontlab.fontlab5[669]: *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
com.apple.launchd[130] (0x108330.Locum[674]): Exited: Terminated
com.apple.launchd[130] ([0x0-0x48048].com.fontlab.fontlab5[669]): Exited with exit code: 1
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How can I get this program to work correctly with out crashing?

Mac OS X 10.5.7, 10.5.8 Fontlab 5.0.4 Build 2741

Update

[FATAL] <FLSFNTD3C1> cmap{plat=3,script=1,lang=0}: multiple glyphs quotedbl quote.double mapped to code <22>

Why is FLS creating multiple glyphs when it is instructed to replace glyphs when using Merge Fonts? how do I stop this and how can I be shown a list of exactly what has a double glyph. Why is it that when I deselect specific glyphs in a font which is intended to be the source to replace glyphs in another font, that these deselected glyphs will be ignored?? This is strange because the the deselected glyphs are recognized when the Rename option in Merge Glyph is selected an consequently are not merged.

Any love? Anyone care to provide some assistance to rectify this issue. I can't merge a Font with Replace without a crash.

Perhaps this is a bug?
Why not to use the support form http://www.fontlab.com/support/problem/ ?
