Autosave every 5 minutes

Does this check box affect anything in FLS5 Windows? Fonts do not seem to be automatically saved every five minutes.

Hello,
As far as I understand it, the autosave option does not override the file from which a font was opened. Autosave saves to the directory specified in "General Option/Folder and path/FontLab Studio 5 files". If FontLab terminates normal the Autosave directory is cleaned up. In case of a crash you will find the latest autosaved version in this folder.
