Two small questions:

1. In TypeTool 3, BCP are always visible (not just when a node is selected). How can I do this in FLS 5?  I don't see this in the preferences.
I figured it out—'CMD-Shift-W"

2.  I can use CMD- to zoom out, but CMD+ doesn't zoom in. Is this normal? How can I set this up?

Use + and - on the additional keypad. There are also "z" and "x" keys which zoom in the glyph window.
To customize the shortcuts open the Tools > Customize dialog and search for specific commands in the list.

I've been using the tip from Alex Petrov to customize the shortcut for selecting the Zoom Tool, I'd like to set it to "z":

Tools > Customize...

Then with "All Commands" selected I enter "zoom" into the search field. It finds 15 "zoom" items. The one I want to change is the zoom with the magnifying glass icon. I double click and get the "Edit Keystroke" dialog box. I enter "z" into the "New Keystroke" field and press the green check and it now appears in the "Assigned Keystrokes" list. I press OK and then Close.

With a glyph window open I press my new shortcut "z" but it does NOT select the zoom tool. It just zooms. I can select the zoom tool manually from the toolbar or use the other shortcut cmd-spacebar and it works fine, the zoom tool is selected. I can even see my "z" shortcut displayed in the yellow tool-tip as I hover over the zoom tool. It just refuses to function as a zoom tool "selector" with the "z" shortcut.

I've even read through the FontLab manual and re-applied the steps, but no luck.

Any suggestions would be great. Cheers.
