Dear Sir,

I want to buy Fontlab product, but i don't know what it is my best choice because we have a specially application.

I use the TTF format.
Because the small size font is not good enough for me, I want add the 16*16 size font of bitmap into the TTF.
Once the AP call the 16*16 of font, it will display bitmap.
If the AP call non-16*16 liking 20*20/24*24, it will show vector font.
I hear that it should be a very common solution.

Do any Fontlab product can do this?

Thank you for your kindly support.

PS:My operation OS is Windows XP. After modify fonts, I want to export any posible format (TTF BDF or others), and I will use the new fonts to linux. So I must open the new fonts in Fontforge. If there are any suggestion, please tell me. Thank you!!!!

Yes, FontLab Studio 5 allows you to do this, there is a simple bitmap tool in the TrueType hinting modus for making embedded bitmaps.

Note 1
When you switch on ClearType, the bitmaps will not show up.

Note 2
With the EBSC table (if I remember correctly) you can make the 16*16 bitmap show up in other sizes as well, but FontLab can not make EBSC.
