Modified japanese font corrupted

A year ago I added some graphic characters to some japanese fonts. Now this happens: some fonts can AFS not open - ASF goes down. In others fonts I can see, that eg the backslash has doubbelt the unicode, and the glyph is now YEN - and a lot of chars have now the Name: backslash...

What has happened ? - I have moved the physical file between harddisks and folders, but I have not used or opened them... ? Has anyone experienced the same thing ? Has anyone an explanation ?
