WEFT crashes while building database of fonts. I had faced this problem earlier also and found that WEFT does not like certain type of fonts. After I removed those fonts from Fonts folder, the problem was solved. Now I again facing same issue and I have forgotten what kind of fonts I trashed to make the WEFT work.

Can someone help?

That would be "broken" fonts that causes crashes in applications (i.e. it's the font that crashes).  WEFT is no different than other applications in that sens, other than that WEFT is more sensitive than most software. It stress tests available fonts (goes through each characters and verifies that they are OK) to ensure that they do not contain problems. You better find out about such problem fonts *before* trying to use them in web pages.

Thank you Michael for your reply. I had been able to have the WEFT running without crashing after I removed some "suspect" fonts and renamed (changed .otf extentions to .ttf) of a couple of fonts. This worked, but I have to identify the culprit which I can do by adding back the fonts one by one.

But then there's is one very annoying issue. When WEFT crashes, size of each font is messed up by incrasing manifold. I had to restore system to normalise these.

If only WEFT would name the font that caused crash, life woul be much simpler!
