First of all, I would like to thank Merouane Nadir (Bruxelles, Belgique) for his tutorial at this Web adress : http://www.asp-php.net/tutorial/html/typographie-weft.php?page=1. I'm sorry but torial is in french.

Explications :

1. In the Fonts To Embed Dialog, select the item "6. Language subsetting" in the Subsetting pop-menu.

2. Select the item "Latin - 1 Supplement" in the Language pop-menu.

3. In the font list, select the font to embed, than click "Subset..." button.

4. In the Subset Editor dialog, add all your caracters you need like "é, à, A, B, C...

5. Save your new caracters list.

6. Repeat all the procedure for your other font to embed. At the step 4, load your file your saved at the step 5.

Good luck...
Simon (Montréal, Québec, Canada)

Just run your page through the wizard and you'll be fine. No extra steps are needed to support Spanish, or any other language.

Please note that If a page do not contain "á" then WEFT would create an EOT for that page that do not contain that character. If you add text later on to the page that do contain that character then you need to update the EOT so that WEFT can add the extra character. You may thus need to re-run WEFT every time you add more text to your web pages.

"text in web page" ===> "characters in EOT".

Don't bother trying to select which character to include in your EOT. You only need to do that if:

1) You don't want to re-run WEFT before publishing updated web pages to your server.  Doing that will make your EOTs much bigger and your web pages slower.

2) You don't have a static web page to process (for example, if you are create an ASP or PHP page).

Regards,
- Michael
