Embedding fonts in OE possible but not entirely easy, I suspect

I think you would need to compose/send your e-mail in HTML after WEFTing a standalone version of same AND upload your *.eot files to the Web

Probably not worth the effort ... especially with no guarantee that the suggested solution would actually work

Best wishes

Actually, it is quite possible to do this without too much fuss. There is a thread on this subject a few months back. Also, I suspect that Si will update the online documentation at some point, so that it will include details on how to do this.

The short answer is - you create an eot with WEFT and then create stationary for either Outlook or Outlook Express. The eot will be embedded in the mail message itself.  Look at the previous discussion for further details.

OK, will check previous discussion thread - but suspect stationery solution will require sending the *.eot file/s along with the e-mail, which was something the originator of this discussion wishes to avoid.

I think Stacey wanted to avoid sending the *whole* font files to the recipient, which would probably be illegal anyway. Although an eot used in a stationary would have to include more characters than needed for a particular message, it would not have to include all characters of a font. EOTs is a more compact format compared to TTF files.

Also, putting your eot on a public web server instead of embedding the eot into an email would not always work. For example, you would not be able to download your message and then disconnect from Internet and read your messages. Then again, your messages would be smaller if you would not embed the eot into them.
