Dear All,

I read most of the discussions here on the message board. Well, most of them have been answered by prabudh.

Well my problem is also a bit similar to the one other people have.

i am using Windows XP home edition. I am using Apache Tomcat as the webserver.
I have a word document (website content) which is written in Hindi Kruti Dev 016 font.
Now when we put all this content on the web page (at the moment, only one test page.) and after following all the instructions in WEFT tutorial and WEFt wizards., i am unable to EMBED the Kruti Dev 016 font.

It is not working because i tested it. When i remove the font from my computer , and enter the above URL, no hindi object renders.

I tried to use No Subsetting so that all the characters can be used while displaying the font. Does Tomcat support EOT?
I have no clue where i am making a mistake.

Can someone help me?
your help will be very useful.

Regards
 Vaneet

Hi,
seems problem with webserver MIME type settings, EOT is showing source when requesting it through browser, although WEFT debugger shows this as an Invalid Bind URL.
You can request your hosting company to resolve this.
Yes, Apache does support embedded fonts when configured properly.

See ya,

Thank you very much prabudh.

By hosting company,  u mean , where hosting company from which  i bought the domain.
this website is hosted on my computer at the moment.

i bought www.export4u.co.uk from oneandone.co.uk company..

and whenever user clicks on above link, i am redirecting the user to
micsexport.serverpics.com (which is space provided by No-IP to bind my IP addresss)

im using no-ip software to bind the ip address

Well, let me know if i am thinking in right direction.

So, i need to set mime type settings either at
oneandone.co.uk OR at micsexport.servepics.com

Thankx again

Hi,
seems your access URL and address where your data is located is different that can be a Reason WEFT generated EOT's are not working through the URL one would use to access.
Try adding micsexport.serverpics.com in the allowed root list to see if it works out.
You can hunt on the older topics to find the exact MIME type settings.

See ya,
prabudh

Dear prabudh,

Thank you very much for your help. The problem is solved.

http://www.export4u.co.uk/vaneet     I removed FONT from my computer and it is coming fine now.

Such a small silly mistake from my end took me 2 days.

Well, i am glad that i followed the procedure of font embedding correctly. And
usage of No Subsetting feature is better if some characters are not displaying.

It was an enricihing exercise.

good day and Thankx again.
you are Wicked !!

Hi,
its a pleasure for me if i prove to be of any help to you or any of WEFT users, anyway i think you still need to go with manual subsetting instead of no-subsetting, i can see a couple of square boxes instead of characters.

Anyway best way to work with indian languages is publishing with Unicode encoded fonts, this way your data would be more accessible and viewable to larger number, without spacing problems and other such issues.

See ya,
prabudh
