Grrr - 'Failed to Start Application. Please re-install WEFT' ??!

Has anyone got any advice ?  I get this error message when I first start WEFT.  I've tried re-installing several times, but the same error message every time.

Any ideas ?

The problem is probably unrelated to WEFT. Look for virus and spyware on your machine. Also, make sure that your fonts do not contain viruses or are plain broken, by doing this:

1) Remove *all* fonts that did not come with Windows.

2) Install your extra fonts one by one and re-build the font database in WEFT. If it fails, then you have a bad font. They may crash any application just like the problem they caused for WEFT.

 

Repeat step two until you have found and removed all the bad fonts.
