Hi everybody,

I need to build a web font (Avant Garde Bk BT) for a customer of mine. Now, my problem in WEFT III is that it doesn't seem to include the German Umlaute (ae = ä, ue = ü, oe = ö). However, in the TTF font they are included...

Is it an error caused by me or does WEFT not include fonts of language specific subsets???
Any hint is welcome!
Post to this list or mail me at alexkunze@web.de

Thanx in advance
Alex

Hello,

WEFT can create eot files with very complicated Arabic and Indic characters. Pan-european accented characters is something that WEFT handles very well indeed, so I am inclined to think that you may have done something wrong.

Did you use the Wizard in WEFT III? If you used the 'expert create' menu, then you need to manually select which character subset to use. Also, make sure that you include a meta html tag with the appropariate charset value (i.e. iso-8859-1 for pan-european characters).

WEFT Development,
- Michael
