Sure it's at http://keepsakegarters.hypermart.net/test22.html. I also tried to just send it to my drive file://c:weft. neither one would do anything.

Should there be a status bar when you publish the pages?

Thanks,

Sam

Publishing the modified web pages is relatively fast operation, compared to analyzing the web pages and creating the eot files, so WEFT does not show any progress bar for this operation.

You do get some feedback though. If you look at the status bar (the bottom 12 pixels of the main WEFT windows), you'll notice that the names of the published pages are being shown there as the files are being published.

We may introduce a progress dialog for this operation in a future version of WEFT.

Also, When I open WEFT 3 I get the message " Your PC may be running out of memory.Too many applications may be opened or you may be using a flawed app( an app that leaks)" I only get this message when I open WEFT 3. I have alot of memory left and I have no other apps opened.

Should I just unistall and re-download? I had no problems with WEFT 2

Thanks,

Sam

You get this warning if your have less than 1MB of physical memory left and there is less than 30% left of your system resources. This is only a waning to let you know that you may run into trouble if you attempt to do too complicated tasks, such as subset very large Chinese fonts. You may safely ignore this message if you think you have enough memory.

The 30% limit is the important one to notice above. When this number reaches 0%, Windows will no longer be able to create fonts, bitmaps and other visual system resources. Your system load may reach 0% even if you have plenty of virtual memory left. This is typically a sign that you are either running too many applications at the same time, or that you have used an application that did not release this type of system resources when ending. Rebooting your machine will take care of the latter problem.

You may monitor your system load by opening the explorer and use the Help/About menu. The system load is displayed as the remaining system resources. When you start, it should read 85-90% free. If it gets down to only 30% free, WEFT will alert you. When it reaches 0%, Windows may crash.

This is a Win95/Win98 specific limitation.

WEFT Development,
- Michael
