karyn_t I am running Firefox 2.0.0.14 on my MacBook Pro running under Leopard 10.5.2.
I use SBL Hebrew successfully in Mellel and other programs. I am not able to specify SBL Hebrew as the font to use in Firefox for displaying Hebrew unicode text. SBL Hebrew does not even appear in the drop down list of fonts in the Firefox preferences (even though the font is obviously installed in my system).
Specifically, I'm trying to view John Hobbins' blog:
http://ancienthebrewpoetry.typepad.com/ancient_hebrew_poetry/ and he often posts Hebrew text (which he says he uses SBL Hebrew for). My browser always substitutes Lucida Grande and it is quite unreadable (ok, maybe that is an exaggeration, but the pointing is incorrectly spaced and it is just not as beautiful or easy to read as SBL Hebrew).
Any suggestions? Thank you,
Karyn
