How do I add a dagesh for the doubling of a letter and also have a vowel symbol under the doubled letter?

Likewise, the dagesh which follows the definite article...how do I add that and still have a vowel marking?

What operating system and application(s) are you using?

You can add a dagesh to any letter (even those that do not normally take dagesh) and still apply a vowel or combination of vowel and cantillation mark. This is all supported in the font's OpenType Layout mark positioning feature. For best results, you should be using Office 2003 applications. This ensures that you have a version of the MS Hebrew shaping engine that correctly handles Biblical Hebrew, but simple dagesh+vowel combinations should also work in some earlier versions of applications under Windows XP.

If you are using the Tiro Biblical Hebrew keyboard layout, you can input dagesh using the combination shift+equal (=). See the documentation that accompanies the keyboard driver for more information.
