I have been trying out the new SBL Hebrew font.  I am using Windows 2000 server with several different applications.  The font works well in the applications.  I like the display.  However, I cannot get the font to print.  I am using an HP 4m printer.

I tried setting the printer to download fonts.  Still no luck.

I have been using SIL's Ezra font with no problem.

I also use Code 2000, Arial Unicode, and several other hebrew fonts that print OK.

This one and Ezra are the only fonts that handle the wide range of points and other marks that I need.

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

How old is the printer? Are you using the PCL printer driver that came with the printer or with Windows 2000? Have you checked to see whether there is a driver update available from HP?

A few years ago I had an HP laser jet, and had trouble with some TrueType fonts. Does your printer have a Postscript mode? If so, try printing that way and see if that works.

I downloaded the PS driver from HP and it prints just fine.

Thanks.
