There are a number of major changes to this version of the font:
1. The spacing of lowercase letters is looser. This does mean that documents created in previous versions of the font will reflow, so please check line and page breaks if these are important. [In addition, the right sidebearing of the lowercase nu, which was incorrectly set in previous betas has been corrected.]
2. I have added support for the Latin 1 codepage, which means that it is now possible to enter English and western European characters in MS Office using this font (it was already possible to enter English characters in most other applications). Note that the Latin characters are not kerned. I will probably add kerning after I have completed spacing and kerning of the SBL BibLit font, of which the Latin characters included in the Greek font are a subset.
3. I have extended the OpenType Layout mark feature lookups to provide combining mark positioning in a greater range of circumstances. I have also added mark-to-mark positioning, so that fairly arbitrary mark sequences can be applied to letters. This can be useful in specialised publications such as lexicons and in transcribing scribal oddities and other non-standard diacritics. The way I have currently implemented this works in MS Office (Windows) and in OpenOffice.org, but not in Adobe applications. I believe it should also work in Mellel and SIL's XeTeX. I am looking at ways to improve the shaping in Adobe applications, but will likely need to wait for the upcoming CS3 applications.
