I have been using the SBL Hebrew font for sometime now and am generally very satisfied with is.  I did, however, notice a glitch the other day.  Evidently, the font automatically vocalizes the tetragrammaton with shwa, qamats, and holem (that is to say, if one vocalizes shwa under the yod and qamats under waw, a holem automatically appears over the heh).  This is problematic, as that vocalization occurs only 50 times in Codex Leningrad/BHS.  The much more common vocalization has only shwa and qamats without holem (about 6500 times).  I notice that a similar thing happens when one tries to vocalize with only shwa/hataf segol and hiriq without holem; again, the font automatically adds the holem, though the form without holem is much more common in Cod. L./BHS (32 vs. 274 times).  Is there any way to change this automatic vocalization?

This problem is corrected in v2.00 of the SBL Hebrew font, which is nearing completion and should be released around New Years (I am working on the last details: contextual respacing of adjacent letters with marks that collide).

Eli Evans at Logos provided me with a test document that includes every unique form of the Name with vowels and cantillation as it occurs in the Bible text. So I've been able to test this carefully and ensure that no stray holam dots occur.

For those who are interested: the problem in the earlier fonts was due to faulty logic in the contextual lookups that handled the special case of vocalising the Name before the introduction of the new holam haser for vav character in Unicode 5.0.
