SPTiberian sere substituted by Times New Roman single quote

I am updating some old parsing practice sheets that were generated in Word using SPTiberian (normally any new work we do utilizes a Unicode font like SBL Hebrew, and we use Mellel instead of Word). I am working on a Mac.

The sere (and only the sere) is being replaced by the Times New Roman single quote. I can't seem to over-ride this substitution. Any suggestions (barring retyping the entire document)?
