I notice that when I type a paragraph in English that includes Hebrew words in the new SBL Hebrew font, the gap between the line with the Hebrew and the next line is slightly larger than the normal gap between lines.  Is there a way to fix this?

Here is an example:

Please note that my e-mail was reformatted into Arial, so the line numbers are now incorrect.  Also, the Arial font causes a larger space between its line and the preceding rather than following line.

Linespacing is determined by the vertical metrics in a font. When two different fonts are used on the same line, the linespacing will be determined by the font with the larger vertical metrics. You can avoid this in many applications by specifying a fixed linespacing in the paragraph or text options, and in HTML documents by using CSS linespacing controls. Alternatively, you can use a smaller Latin font, or the same Latin font at a smaller size.

The next release of the SBL Hebrew font will include Latin characters, so you will be able to use a single font for bilingual text, with consistent linespacing.
