These lines -

src: url();

mean that no font object s (eot files) are linked to this page. Did WEFT create any .eot files during the WEFTing process?

Hello Si

Thanks for answering me so quickly. I went thru the whole process again and something interesting happened. One of the pages ......(the link below)....is totally messed up...but in a good way ...there's blocks where the text should be and in between a few of the letters of the font I want to use are showing up. Up to now the font didn't show up at all...so I feel like I'm making progress.

Do you think the font objects need to be redone?

Thanks!

you need to click the subset... button in the Fonts to Embed window, you have to select (make black) all the letters and signs you wanna use on your pages, when a sign is not selected, it will be missing when the eot file is created, and it will display as a small rectangle

Hi there,

Yes, you do not need to extend the subset manually. WEFT's Analyze page will do this for you.

However, there are a couple of errors in your web page that may prevent WEFT from doing the right  thing:

1 - You need to match the html block properly. There is a missing and tag.  Unbalanced html blocks may cause WEFT to fail to insert the STYLE block that contain the EOT font declaration.

2 - The STYLE block in the page appears to not have been created by WEFT!? In any case, a page may have multiple STYLE blocks, so there is no need to merge such blocks created by yourself with once that are created by WEFT. Also, these font declarations have an empty "url()" tag. This may cause WEFT To fail, since it will attempt to re-cycle the existing URL for the EOT, and thus save it at "", i.e. nowhere.

I suggest that you remove the font declarations from your pages, make sure that all the blocks in the pages are balanced, and then re-run WEFT again.

Cheers,
Michael Jansson
Tech. Lead of WEFT.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've redone a few more pages and everything seems to be working.

Here's one of the better results:

I don´t know whether you know this already, but if you view your site with Netscape Navigator, none of your embedded fonts are embedded, since Netscape has its own format, pfr. So if it´s important for you that your site looks the same (mostly) for everybody, use both formats.
