Hi,

we are using an .eot font in an intrante site for a customer.
On soem mahcines  everythign works fine (for isnatcne on my machine with Xp sp2 and IE7), on other machines the font is shown with poor quality, specifically with ragged edges.

This occurs on at leats one custoemr mahcine runnign xp sp1 with IE 6.0

Does anybody have similar experience and come up with a solution for this?

Change your "Display properties" settings in your control panel. On Xp, click on "Appearance", then "Effects" and make sure that that "Use the following method to smooth edges on screen fonts" is checked and set to "Cleartype". That will make the text look much better.

IE7 will turn on this option by itself, while IE6 will not.

Regards,
- Michael
