The reason why I joined this WEFT community is because I was searching for other options in order to be able to use something other than boring font for my business slogan. I do not want to have my slogan imbedded as an image, but rather as text. I would like to be able to use a cursive or script font of some kind.

Does WEFT allow me to do that? And are any of the fonts embedded via this program compatible with multiple browswers? I am desperate. I will take anything besides cosmic sans that looks closer to legible handwritten cursive.

WEFT will allow you to embed any font that it determines it can make into an EOT file.  Cursive or otherwise.

The problem is not that it can't be done but should it be done.  (Check the second paragraph in the link.)  Remember, most fonts are copyrighted.  If you use the font for something other than what the author intended (such as a business website) you would be violating copyright laws.  You can get the author's permission, probably for a fee.  Or, you can find a freeware or public domain font that suits your needs.

I'll bet most people that author fonts, know that their creations are being used in violation of their copyright.  The problem for the author becomes one of policing.  How can they possibly find everyone around the world that is violating the copyright?  They can't.  So trying to defend yourself with the "everyone is doing it" or "I've been doing this forever" argument won't work.  I'm just trying to let you know that when you create an EOT file with WEFT, it is up to you to know if any copyright is being violated.  This is especially true for business websites.

Caveat WEFTor.
