I tried to install VOLT 1.3 but failed with message" Setup can not continue because some system files are out of date on your system. Click OK if you would like setup to update these file for you now. You will need to restart before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit without updating system files".

I have XP Pro with service pack 3 with all the latest updates from windows update, restarted the system many times but installation failed.

We tried several XPSP3 machines and VOLT installled fine. If there is nothing special about your machine, it is hard to tell what's going on.

Installation goes upto the 4th OCX and this message appears, I think it is RICHTX32.OCX and then this message apears.

This control is new for v1.3, it is used in explorer.

Can you try istalling it maunally from http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/richtx32.cab?
Unpack it somewhere and right-click->Install it.

If you still have problems, it may be better to take off the forum thread. You can contact me directly.

Thanks,
Sergey
