Hello there
I have a question and I am wondering if Sergy can spare time to answer.
I developed an Arabic font which works fine on XP and Vista, but a
webpage in that font does not display anything on Windows mobile 6
handsets.
Obviously there must be uniscrible ported to WM6 machine before it can
decode any unicode data. I tried to copy ups10.dll to wm6  handset and
view that document but nothing shows up.
I would like to know is there any uniscribe available for mobile
platform as well? or is there some way to recompile the UPS10.dll for
Windows mobile devices?
I will be looking forward for any clue that can help me to run my XP
open type font on my mobile device.
Regards
Ali

Unsicribe is part of WinCE. However, this is up to particular device manufacturer whether they want to include it.

Since it take fair amount of space and memory on resource constrained system, there are not many devices shipped that include it.

Thanks,
Sergey

Thanks Sergey for your email.

Well half of my question is still there.

What if my device or say any device out there does not come with
uniscribe built in and we want to install it later?

I am wondering if there is possibility of just copying the dll to
device or are there some licensing issues?
