I am working on a arabic based font.
I want to replace two characters with one character,
How can i do it?

When two glyphs are combined into one it is called a ligature for example in Arabic lam with meem. Or lam+ lam+ heh for  lillah.  In Volt use the feature. Good luck

u can download the demo video from MS website and learn from it:
 
after u install the Volt, it will provide u two font example files.
u can check them to learn
