Using Font Validator on Widows98SE

Hello,

 

While the.NET software required to run the Validator installs on Windows98SE, I've seen no indication Font Validator will operate on anything other than  a WindowsXP/2000 platform. Is the above a correct appraisal of the current situation?

Hi,

 

This is correct. The font validator was designed to work with Windows 2000 and Windows XP - with no attempt to get it to work on other operating systems. If someone wants to try installing it on other operating systems, then they are welcome to try, providing they stay within the terms of the EULA.

 

Having said that, we wouldn't want to clutter the message board with discussion of such attempts. Messages of this type would serve as a distraction, and would be considered off-topic.

 

Also before raising bugs or issues that come to light on such installations, we'd ask members to reproduce them on a Windows XP or Windows 2000 machine before posting details to the board.
