I am curious about Font Validator's test for completeness of the Mac Roman codepage . . . in particular for code point 0xBD. Apple's current specs for the mapping to Unicode (at http://www.unicode.org/Public/MAPPINGS/) show that this should be U+03A9 # GREEK CAPITAL LETTER OMEGA, whereas it seems Font Validator is expecting U+2126 #OHM SIGN. There's a note in Apple's mapping document that the mapping was recently changed to reflect the canonical decomposition of U+2126 as U+03A9.

Could someone explain the situation on the test in FV, as well as the current recommendation for building new fonts intending to support the Mac Roman code page via Unicode?

Thanks,

Josh
