Installing Font Validator in Vista?

We are preparing to buy a new PC and need to decide whether to buy an XP or Vista PC. We would rather buy a Vista PC, if possible.

 

Does Font Validator install and run in Vista? Is there anything we need to know before trying it in Vista?

 

(The MS FV web page calls it "Font Validator for Windows XP and 2000".)

It will work, but Font Validator setup requires installing .NET framework version 1.1. You can find it here:

Sergey will this .net framework fix the issue with installing Microsoft Visual Studio .net on Vista? When I tried to install a .net install error Window came up and I assume the .net framework is differrent.

I have found that MS Visual Studio .net 2003 is not supported on Vista. I should have looked first. The MS Validator worked fine when I installed .net 1.1 framework
