First, it would be nice to have some kind of panel where you could drag and drop custom glyph shapes and then you could drag these into your glyph pane. For example, say you could store an Upper Case stem, an Upper Case bar, a lower case stem, a lower case bowl, a serif, &c.; Then you can just drag these into the window you're working in and quickly assemble a b, a p, an H, or several other letters from these custom, pre-formed composites.

Second, It would be nice to be able to have user-defined glyph groups so you can view just portions of your font at a time from the font window. I'm thinking something like sets in flickr. Say I just want to view the accents in my font. There would some kind of "Glyph Sets" toolbar, which would list my sets, and clicking on the "Accents" set would show me only those glyphs that i put into that set.

Anyway, just a few ideas that I think would make my process more simple... just wishes really.
