Yes, he did -- It's called "Learn Fontlab Fast". It was written for an earlier version of Fontlab, but that doesn't invalidate much of what it contains. I did read somewhere it was being updated for FLS5, but I haven't seen any word of the newer version being actually in print.
Used to be available through Amazon, but I think LC prefers to sell it through his own site now, at
http://www.logofontandlettering.com/(I'm not affiliated with him, by the way -- this is meant to be helpful information, not spam !! ;-) )
My (completely subjective) take on the book: The guy is genius talented, and really knows his stuff ... but you know how even a brilliant teacher's style doesn't suit every student? Well, I really can't get into his book. It's not written from the angle that I like to learn from. It'll get you quite quickly through which button you need to press next, but I personally like to know what it is the software is doing, and *why* at each step of the way. Getting under the bonnet, so to speak. (Or "hood", if you're North American.) The book doesn't do that nearly enough, for my tastes. But to be fair, it was never intended to.
Still, add my vote to the "much rather a book than a video tutorial" column.
