i'm making a font where i want the space to be an object. when i use the font in illustrator then create outlines, the space glyph disapears. as if illustrator just sees it as a blank space. i can work around this by "flattening transperancy" at 100% vector but i cant expect someone who buys the font (wishful thinking) to know this trick. does anyone have a trick for this? can i reasign the space glyph as a different name but using the same key?
